In this talk Simon will discuss the biological systems of hunger and how changing the way you eat can affect these systems to reduce feelings of hunger. The talk will also cover some benefits of increased protein intake and an insight into creating a health claim that you may see on supermarket shelves soon.
Simon Gilmour - Speaker
Simon Gilmour studied Human Nutrition and Sport and Exercise Science at Massey University and has worked for Fonterra as a Nutrition Research Scientist since 2016. Simon has also worked in Fonterra’s Analytical Chemistry labs both at the research facility here in Palmerston North and at Fonterra’s Whareroa site in Taranaki. Simons is one of Fonterra’s nutrition experts with a focus on protein. He is involved in new product development of nutritional products and was involved in the launch of Anchors Protein Plus range.
